Inovonics unveils new AM mod monitor

Inovonics, AM, modulation monitors

Modulation monitors have come a long ways over the years, even AM mod monitors. Witness the Model 526 from Inovonics.

Just its faceplate, complete with decent-sized LED level monitors and a five-inch touchscreen display, gives it the look of a processor.

The tuning range on the 526 is two-fold with 520 kHz to 1720 kHz in 10 kHz steps or 522 kHz to 1719 kHz in 9 kHz steps. The station scanning function offers tools like oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, audio history, RF metrics, modulation and loudness plots.

It also features Inovonics favorite “round robin” station monitoring of up to 30 preset stations. Remote listening is available streaming and Dante/AES67. Naturally it is fully remote controllable via the internet.

Alarm logging and notifications are available via email, SMS and SNMP. Alarms include positive/negative modulation, audio loss or low signal. The 526 is fully compatible with Modulation-Dependent Carrier Level signals.

There’s even a fun demo online to take the 526 for a spin. To get the full story, check out the 526 user manual.
