Radio La Guancha is extending its IP broadcasting capabilities and has renewed its relationship with AEQ.

The municipal radio station of La Guancha Town Council on Tenerife, one of Spain’s Canary Islands, was created more than 20 years ago. Broadcasting on 107.2 FM, it covers the north of the island and even reaches the south of the neighboring island of La Palma. The station can also be listened to via the Internet anywhere.

In 2022, the city council decided to modernize and upgrade the station’s technical equipment. The station installed an AEQ Atrium digital console and AEQ Systel IP multi-conferencing system to service its two main production studios.

Radio La Guancha recently extended its commitment to digital-quality IP communications with a set of AEQ Phoenix Alio portable audio codecs. The codecs allow the station to bring its programs closer to the audience by offering the possibility of broadcasting from anywhere in the city, including parks, hotels or restaurants, with professional audio quality and a negligible investment in communication lines.

AEQ’s Alio features dual stereo channels. Although designed initially for sports broadcasting, it has been optimized for ease of use in a wide variety of scenarios, including music events.
